ClassPass Trial Guide: Credits, Renewal & Cancellation
Updated
A fitness trial is useful when it lets you try the places you actually want to visit. Before signing up for ClassPass, compare the offer displayed to you with the classes, times, and budget that suit your routine.
Use our ClassPass referral page to open the provider’s offer. We have not independently verified the current trial terms, so this guide does not promise a particular number of days, credits, or a free month. Your signup screen and account provide those details.
Check eligibility and your local options
Read whether the trial is for first-time members and whether a past trial affects eligibility. Then look for studios or gyms near you, the sessions you could realistically attend, and any restrictions on using trial credits there. Access to a platform is only useful if there are suitable bookings available.
Translate credits into actual bookings
Do not assume one credit means one class. Compare the credits offered with the cost displayed for each booking, and check whether credit requirements vary across the times you would choose.
For a hypothetical example, a trial with 20 credits could cover bookings priced at 6, 7, and 7 credits. If the sessions you prefer cost 12 credits each, that same allowance would cover only one. These numbers are examples, not a current ClassPass offer.
Also check whether unused trial credits expire, whether they carry into a paid plan, and whether all listed services are included in the trial. Use the written terms instead of assuming paid-membership rules also apply to a trial.
Record the renewal details
Before confirming signup, save these details from the offer and billing screen:
- Trial price, included credits, and the end date.
- The next plan’s price and the date of the first paid charge.
- The cancellation method and any deadline before billing.
- Rules for existing reservations, late cancellations, and missed bookings.
Set a reminder before the displayed deadline so you can decide whether to continue. Use the date and any time zone supplied by ClassPass; a general claim like “one month” does not identify your billing cutoff.
Cancel through the account process
If you decide not to continue, use the cancellation instructions supplied for your account. Check whether cancellation ends trial access immediately and what happens to reservations already made. Keep the confirmation and verify your membership status afterward.
Do not rely on removing the app or simply stopping bookings. If you cannot find the cancellation option or a charge does not match the offer you accepted, contact ClassPass support with your confirmation details.
Decide whether the paid plan fits
Compare the monthly plan cost with the bookings you would actually use. In a hypothetical $60 plan where you use three classes, the effective cost is $20 per class before any extra charges. If you use only one, it is $60. Compare that result with booking directly at the same places.
